Mass Idiocracy

If This Text Irritates You, It’s Probably About You

Warning: I won’t sugarcoat anything.
If you get offended easily – stop reading.
If you’re afraid of truth – also stop.

But if you continue, there’s a good chance this text is exactly about you.
Don’t get angry.
Just look in the mirror.
No one is perfect.
The difference is that very few people have the courage to admit it.

1. Zombie Society: People Don’t Need to Be Dumbed Down – They Do It Themselves

People used to say the government manipulates.
That the media makes us stupid.
That the system has us by the throat.

Today?

You don’t need to dumb anyone down – people line up for it voluntarily.

What you see on streets, in homes, schools and workplaces are not conscious humans.
They are digital zombies, reshaped by:

  • aggressive advertising,
  • algorithms,
  • worthless content,
  • an education system that kills critical thinking,
  • social media more addictive than hard drugs.

The brutal truth:

People are no longer themselves.
People are what they scroll.

2. Ads Are Infantile Because People Are Infantile

Have you noticed what modern ads look like?

– stupid,
– childish,
– embarrassing,
– built on primitive emotions,
– loud,
– tasteless,
– illogical.

…and the sad part? They actually work on people.

And you know why?

Not because companies are stupid.
But because the average user IS STUPID.

Advertising is a mirror.
It reflects the level of the audience.

If people respond to:

  • clownish behavior,
  • cheap slogans,
  • primitive sketches,
  • “funny” jingles,
  • kitsch,
  • idiotic dialogues,

then advertisers produce exactly that – because it works.

The advertising world is the most accurate intelligence test of a society.
And the results are terrifying.

And by the way…
Have you noticed Christmas songs start playing on the radio in mid-November?

3. The System Doesn’t Need to Control You – You Do It Yourself by Turning On Your Phone

Governments, corporations and media don’t need force.
They just need to give people:

  • scrolling,
  • dopamine,
  • a fairy tale,
  • “funny videos”,
  • the feeling of being busy,
  • comfort without thinking.

The rest happens automatically.

Zombie society:

✔ doesn’t protest
✔ doesn’t think
✔ doesn’t analyze
✔ doesn’t question
✔ doesn’t seek truth
✔ believes whatever screams the loudest

That’s why they’re easy to control.
And that’s why the system loves them.

4. Scrolling Is Eating Your Brain – and You Don’t Even Notice

This is the most dangerous part.
Dopamine addiction is slow and painless.

People believe they “have control”,
while they:

  • can’t focus on one task,
  • can’t read three paragraphs without checking their phone,
  • can’t hold a conversation without glancing at the screen,
  • can’t feel emotions unless they are intense and instant,
  • can’t tolerate boredom, silence or reflection.

A person without concentration has no future.
And companies know that.

You don’t use your phone.
Your phone uses you.

5. Idiocracy Isn’t Coming – Idiocracy Is Already Here

People say:

“The world is going downhill.”
“It used to be better.”
“People are getting dumber.”

No.
It’s not a “process”.

It already happened.

What you’re seeing now are just the consequences:

  • mindless conversations,
  • shallow relationships,
  • no curiosity,
  • zero reflection,
  • no ambition,
  • mediocrity in every aspect of life.

Just listen to how people talk:

– short,
– empty,
– topic changes every 5 seconds,
– monologues about nothing,
– no depth.

What irritates me the most?

The superficial politeness. Emptiness disguised as friendliness.

And the eternal autopilot:

“How’s it going?”

A question that means absolutely nothing.

In 99% of cases it’s just a social script – a mental click: “small talk, but keep it short”.

I’ve tested it.
When I answer honestly:

  • people change the subject,
  • eyes drift away,
  • they interrupt after a few sentences,
  • or end with “we’ll talk later”.

Try it yourself.

Next time someone asks “how’s it going?”, answer truthfully – fully, without shortening.

Watch how long they last.
If they even make it to one minute.

This is modern communication:
fast, shallow, impatient.

People talk exactly the way they scroll – quickly, carelessly, meaninglessly.

It’s not an accident.
It’s fast-thought culture.

6. Want to Know Why You Fail at Life? Because You Surround Yourself With Zombies

If your friends:

  • think like memes,
  • argue like Facebook comments,
  • live from Friday to Friday,
  • can’t sit in silence,
  • believe everything they see online,
  • don’t grow, don’t read,
  • watch “funny stuff” all day,

how are YOU supposed to escape the matrix?

Environment always wins.
Always.

You can’t win at life if you live like everyone else.
And everyone else is dead inside – they just haven’t noticed yet.

BLOCK FOR PARENTS — IF THIS OFFENDS YOU, GOOD

This is the part many parents will skip.
Because it’s easier to pretend the problem doesn’t exist.

But here’s the truth:

Kids don’t have a phone problem.
Parents have a responsibility problem.

A child:

  • doesn’t buy their own phone,
  • doesn’t set limits,
  • doesn’t understand dopamine biology,
  • doesn’t understand consequences,
  • doesn’t understand addiction.

The parent is supposed to understand.
The parent is supposed to set boundaries.
The parent is supposed to raise the child.

If a child spends hours on a phone –
it’s not the child’s fault.
It’s yours.

Children don’t do what you say.
They do what they see.

If they see:

  • phone at the table,
  • phone in bed,
  • phone during conversations,
  • phone in every spare second,

that becomes their lifestyle.

In the 21st century:

A parent who doesn’t control technology loses their child.
Not tomorrow.
Today.

7. Last Sentence: Either YOU Think – or the System Thinks for You

There is no third option.

Either:

  • you choose your content,
  • you choose your environment,
  • you choose your quality of life,

or:

  • you are what you scroll,
  • you are the reflection of ads,
  • you are the product,
  • you are a zombie.

Idiocracy isn’t the future.
Idiocracy is the present.

The question is:
Which side do you want to be on?

  1. Interesting take.
It’s rare to see a piece challenge readers to own their focus rather than blaming systems.
As a professional in beauty biz, I agree that attention is gold in this field and everyone’s scrolling can hurt conversion.
